As the owner of a company there is a significant chance that your employees use delivery vans. In some cases these vehicles are not even particularly used for delivery, as a van can be utilized for other tasks too of course. However, whatever functionality the delivery van has, it is important to compare the car insurances when buying it.

However, whatever functionality the delivery van has, it is important to compare the car insurances when buying it. This is called autoverzekering vergelijken and can result in you saving lots of money, which is useful as buying a new delivery van is a big investment. Some vehicles have a more expensive insurance than others, so it is advised to calculate the car insurance, or autoverzekering berekenen in Dutch, before you buy one of the delivery vans below.

Volkswagen Caddy

The Volkswagen Caddy almost always meets all technical requirements for a compact van. Moreover, the technical highlights of the safety systems are unprecedented, even if they are not all standard. In particular, the towing weight of 1,500 kg of the 102 hp engine makes it the winner in its segment. The payload in the car can be selected up to 771 kg as well. The Caddy Maxi has a cargo space of 215 cm, which is comparable to the competition in this class. On top of that, it is available with a 7-speed DSG automatic, 4-wheel drive. The standard 75 hp diesel already has 225 Nm of pulling power.

Ford Transit Connect

With its Connect, Ford has one of the best delivery vans out there at the moment. For the towing weight of 1,500 kg you have to order the 120 hp version. The payload in the car is excellent and can even be increased to 910 kg if this is deemed necessary. The cargo space is at the bottom of the long version exactly 225 cm, which is the case since the driver gets a lot more legroom due to the convex partition. This results in you losing a bit more effective cargo space at height. But then as a driver you can sit in the Connect perfectly. Together with the Volkswagen Caddy, the Ford Transit Connect gives the driver the most comfortable seating position.

Mercedes-Benz Citan

Mercedes-Benz never sets a wrong foot, especially when it comes to technology. However, when it comes to the Citan you have to consider the dimensions and weights. There are some limitations in this area unfortunately. It is not possible to transport a trailer of more than 1,050 kg when driving the Mercedes-Benz Citan, for example. The loading length is available in three lengths, to be more exact 136, 175 or 213 centimeters. The Renault Kangoo is also part of the collaboration for this model. And Nissan also makes this model under the name NV250. These delivery vans are very similar to the Mercedes-Benz Citan because of that. You can decide yourself which one you want to buy or lease.

Fiat Doblo

You may not think of it at first, but the Fiat Doblo is worth reconsidering. Yes, it is a Fiat and the model has been around for a while, but if you look at the numbers rationally the technology is perfect. The Doblo is one of the most reliable vans! The payload is usually 1,300 kg and a single version has 1,000 kg. The length of the cargo space is very similar to the rest at 182 or 217 cm. But the width of no less than 171 cm makes it the most spacious of its kind. There are in fact barely any delivery vans available that have more width.
