It is difficult to pass the 23 June without thinking back to the day exactly one year ago when the political landscape changed so dramatically in the UK and beyond.
‘One year after referendum’, a report from the University of Kent, shows the UK now far more exposed to Brexit trade related risks than any other EU state except Ireland; points to profound implications for the UK’s environment (a third of EU policy cannot be copied into UK law as it references EU institutions; and sees the UK as ‘a bystander’ on defence, with minimal influence on European decisions that directly impact on national security. One year on, it remains difficult to find any positive aspect of Brexit.
