Why you should create a game room in your office

If you work 24/7 and do not have time to have fun, it is very likely that you will end up with a burn-out. This is why a lot of the world’s best companies have decided to incorporate a game room into their office.

This is used to inspire employees to have fun, enjoy their workplace, and relax. Usually these spaces include my favorite slots, or my favorite gokkasten in Dutch, for example. It is advised to do this as a game room brings a lot of advantages. Three benefits are mentioned below.

    Build friendly competition

Competition does not have to be serious. It also does not have to be directly related to the company’s goals. However, it is a good idea to add fun challenges into the workplace culture. By organizing intercompany tournaments, you can create friendly and healthy competition between departments of your company. You could, for example, create monthly competitions with the help of the slots mentioned on the site of https://nederlandsegokkasten.com/. The winner will get a prize, which could be related to the slot machine or your company. Of course this is not necessary, but it could be a fun idea. These tournaments will help to get your employees out of their shells, especially when they have just joined the company. Often people do not feel part of the team, but by building friendly competition you can fix this issue.

    Boost employee productivity

Employees need breaks, it is that simple. Several studies show that sitting at a desk all day will lead to less productivity. Instead, people should have fun and recharge, which they can do with the help of a game room. Researchers have even discovered that it is better to take a break involving an undemanding task, such as one of the slot machines you can see on gokkasten31.nl, than taking a break that involves resting or a demanding task. By doing this, you can improve your performance on a classic creative task. This finding shows that it is a good idea to add a game room to your office since this space offers the opportunity for an active break from the standard work tasks. This will subsequently boost employee productivity.

    Team-building

A game room offers employees the possibility to enhance interpersonal relations within the team, while it can improve their communication and bonding as well. Playing a game with a colleague will usually transcend the typical boundaries of verbal etiquette. Instead, it feels more like you are playing with a friend. Because of this, employees will start to interact about non-work related issues too. On top of that, a game room facilitates positive vibes and communication among the personnel. The game room is also a great way to break the ice when you have just hired a new employee. Playing games is very useful when getting to know each other, which is also very handy when you have introverted staff members.
