4 Reasons Why You Could Benefit from a SIM Only Contract

When deciding on a new mobile phone or deciding to change networks, most mobile phone users choose a contact that includes the handset and a long-term agreement detailing specific amounts of minutes, data and texts.

    Mobile phone SIM card

Many are drawn in by the low immediate payment and the chance to land the type of mobile phone they could not afford to buy in one go.

    What are SIM only contracts?

SIM only contracts offer a combined package of texts, minutes and data paid for once a month. Unlike other complete contracts, these offers do not include the mobile phone itself. The following points are the main reasons why you should consider a SIM-only contract.

    Lower monthly costs

Want to cut costs and limit the amount of cash you spend on bills every month? Well, by opting for a SIM-only contract, you will be able to get the same amount of minutes, texts and data at a fraction of the price compared with contracts that include the handset. This makes SIM-only contracts the perfect option if you are worried about hitting your overdraft when money automatically leaves your bank account every month. However, if you don’t already own a mobile phone or want a new one, you will, obviously, have to buy one separately.

    Greater selection of mobiles

When you are choosing a new contract, you will usually be presented with a few different options regarding the mobile phones that each network has on offer. However, if you have your heart set on a specific model of mobile, then you may end up being disappointed. Similarly, if you already own a mobile that you want to continue using, you might encounter some difficulties. Therefore, for those of you who want a specific model of mobile phone that is not one of the leading brands commonly on offer in most high street shops, it is a good idea to opt for a SIM-only contract.

Better flexibility on the choice of the network provider

Unlike contracts that include a mobile phone, SIM-only contracts are readily available and at very affordable rates from every network provider. This ability to shop around means you can always choose the network with the best signal and deals for your specific needs.

There are lots of factors to consider when shopping for a new mobile, so it is best to do your research thoroughly. Keep in mind that there are some useful sites for SIM only comparisons to help you with the research and speed up your decision-making process. However, if you are looking for a mobile contract that offers great flexibility and the chance to save money, then a SIM-only contract is definitely worth considering.
