U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry put up a strong defence of the TTIP trade talks when he met EU foreign ministers. TTIP takes on added importance in light of the impact Brexit could have on UK and EU economies, he suggested. The sheer size of the EU-US marketplace could be a substantial counter to any negatives resulting from whatever construct is negotiated between Britain and Europe, he said. And despite despite reports of its imminent demise, the US administration is still looking to conclude TTIP this year.
